- Echocardiography is a vital non-invasive tool for diagnosing and managing pulmonary hypertension (PH). It provides valuable information about heart structure and function, helping to estimate pulmonary artery pressures and assess the severity of PH. The 2022 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines on PH emphasize the critical role of echocardiography in screening and initial assessment, risk stratification and prognosis, monitoring and treatment response. In this talk, I will summarize the updated information which underscore echocardiography’s central role in PH.
